How to
prepare

Everything you need to arrive feeling calm, considered and ready to enjoy your day.

Before anything else

Remember why
you’re doing this.

Maybe you’re celebrating a milestone. Stepping into a new chapter. Creating a gift. Or simply choosing to do something that is entirely for you.

There is no “right” reason. When you reconnect with yours, the worry about how you will look begins to soften. This isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about recognising the woman who is already here.

Before you arrive

Getting ready

01

Hair

Arrive with clean, completely dry hair. If you wear your hair naturally curly, style it as you normally would; your hair and makeup artist can define and perfect your curls. If you plan to style your own hair, please let us know beforehand so we can adjust the timing.

02

Skin

Come with a clean face and freshly moisturised skin. Avoid trying new products or treatments in the days before your session. Moisturise your body too, but skip anything shimmery or tinted on the morning itself.

03

Nails

Clean, tidy nails photograph beautifully. Neutral or classic colours are ideal, but the most important thing is that your polish is fresh and chip-free. Remember your toes if you are planning barefoot portraits.

04

Wardrobe

Bring your outfits clean, wrinkle-free and on hangers. If you are torn between pieces, bring an extra option—we will choose together. Include the shoes, jewellery and meaningful personal pieces you may want to use.

05

Get Smooth & Shoot-Ready

Wax a few days before your shoot to give your skin time to settle. If you prefer to shave, do it the night before. Focus on your legs and underarms. If you’re planning to wear lingerie or a bodysuit, take care of your bikini area too.

What your day
will feel like

01

Arrive & settle in

Bring your outfits upstairs, take a breath and make yourself at home. We’ll look through everything together before we begin.

02

Hair & makeup

Your artist will talk through the look you love, then create camera-ready hair and makeup that still feels entirely like you.

03

Your photoshoot

You will be guided through every pose, expression and movement. You never need to know what to do in front of the camera—that is our job.

04

Pause & refresh

After your session, enjoy a drink and a little time to relax while your photographs are prepared for viewing.

05

See your photographs

We’ll view your images together and help you choose the portraits you love most. There is no pressure and no wrong way to choose.

What’s your mood?

Light, dark,
or a little of both

You don’t have to choose just one. Your session can move between softness and strength, giving you a collection with range and feeling.

  • Fresh, tidy nails
  • Outfits steamed and on hangers
  • Shoes, jewellery and props in one bag

One last thing

You don’t have to arrive confident. You only have to arrive.
